Marcel Offermans commented on AMDATU-395:
-----------------------------------------
The outcome of the following discussion might impact this task, but for now I
think we should stick with what we've got:
http://www.amdatu.org/confluence/display/Amdatu/AMA+issues+in+combination+with+resource+processors
Regarding the initial thoughts:
1. The artifact currently is downloadable. I don't see a need to repackage it
when we use it as is.
2. Usage documentation is embedded in the "help" parameter, and more elaborate
docs are at:
http://www.amdatu.org/confluence/display/Amdatu/Launching+the+Amdatu+Management+Agent
3. Do we really need scripts for all possible operating systems, when we're
using a runnable JAR? I think it's overkill.
4. The AMA has an audit log which logs and synchronizes all relevant life cycle
events with the AMS. Furthermore, if an OSGi LogService is present, it will be
used for local logging (the management agent is no different from any other
bundle we use here).

> We need a launcher that contains the Amdatu AMA and can be used to bootstrap
> a new target. Preferably this should be a single, executable JAR file that
> can be configured with a few command line options (to identify itself and to
> point to the Amdatu AMS).
