Description:
To be able to easily integrate with an ACE server from IDE/offline build etc we
require a generic REST client api in ACE. A discussion on the ACE dev list is
already underway. Either we wait for ACE or we develop it in ACE or at a
minimum we build and donate it to ACE.

There is an issue for it in ACE now:

As part of this task, review the identities that are being used to reference
the different entities. These used to be filter conditions, but were changed.
