From the Amdatu Platform point of view we use LogService everywhere. Pax Logging is not a bridge from "anywhere" to LogService, so as such it is not suited. The correct strategy is described in the document above. So far, I don't see any libraries that help you with that (and probably it depends a lot on the library you're converting to OSGi what the best exact approach is).
