IMHO this must be fixed in 1.0.0, not postponed to a next version. I do use the filter hack for now (not sure that this always works though), but it should not be necessary to use any of the workarounds above. Registration of servlets that are not tenant aware is a common use case and should work by design, just like in 0.2.1.
