Could you reply with an example showing the exact command line options
you are giving and the output you get when it does not work. Then
repeat the same command but pass the --debug-serial option and send that
output? From those I should be able to figure out what is going on.
I haven't had a chance to upgrade my microcontroller to anything more
recent than 4.6 yet so one possibility is that there is something
different about the behavior in 4.7 or 4.8 that causes the problem.

Thanks. What amazed me was how easy it was to implement some of those
features leveraging the Python standard library modules. It was really
neat when I saw it all coming together. :-)
