You need to get the name of the SMTP
server that you’re ISP supplies. ISPs block direct access to stop
spam as I understand it. You don’t really need two accounts
because you can send and receive an email from the same account. Once
this is setup, you won’t normally need to put in a password for sending
as you are already authenticated with your ISP because you have access to the
internet. You then only need a password to access the POP server to
collect your mails.
Hi,
I want to send alert messages from Amibroker to my yahoo email account.
My sender id will be my hotmail account ( name @hotmail.com)and
recipient id will be yahoo eamil account ( name@ yahoo.co.in).
What will I set in SMTP field and Authentication field.
In SMTP, I put http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp
or
mx1.hotmail.com and tried to put all 5 dropdowns in authentication
field, In username & password field, I am putting my hotmail username
and password.
But getting message that 'Failed to connect to SMTP server'.
Can anyone hlp in doing this?
