Dingo, you gave me an idea for the "solution", with the key phrase being "the way auto-update works." I've recently added a false ticker to my list, "^CPI-U", a monthly data-set with the most recent entry 1/1/2007. Auto-update was doing what it's supposed to do, picking out the date of the last entry (1/1/2007) of the first ticker in my list, which just happens to be this new one, as the start-date from which to download.
Now that I understand what the "problem" is I know that there's nothing wrong with AQ that I need to "fix." The start-date will advance as I add new entries to "^CPI-U". Just another one of those irksome situations where the software is working precisely as it was designed to, only you don't know it.:) Luck, Sebastian --- In [email protected], "dingo" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > That the way Autoupdate works. > > To do what you want: > > Run AQ > Tools/Get Tickers From Amibroker > Set your dates > Click the green arrow on the tool bar. > > d > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: [email protected] > > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of sebastiandanconia > > Sent: Friday, March 09, 2007 9:29 AM > > To: [email protected] > > Subject: [amibroker] Amiquote auto-update reverts to wrong start-date. > > > > > > I'm using AB 4.9 with Amiquote 1.94.
