Forget Vista and switch back to XP. I too got a new Laptop with Vista. None of my realtime software worked. Some bug or the other. So I bought a XP home edition, partitioned my hard disk, loaded XP in C Drive and Vista in D Drive. It became a dual boot with XP as default on boot up screen.
