Sorry, but I don't think it is significant that I got RY data afterall .... those stocks are dual listed so I probably just got the US exchange prices.
I get an error with CA:BMO also. I don't see how you can get the data using that prefix? GoogleFinance uses the following URL's for the webview: http://finance.google.com/finance?q=TSE:RY http://finance.google.com/finance?q=NYSE:RY and historical webview: http://finance.google.com/finance/historical?q=NYSE:RY http://finance.google.com/finance/historical?q=TSE:RY Also, RY does not have a download link for historical data (not all stocks quoted have historical as well?) If you enter the quotes search, at GoogleFinance, as TSE:BMO or NYSE:BMO you get this: http://finance.google.com/finance?q=NYSE%3ABMO http://finance.google.com/finance?q=TSE%3ABMO --- In [email protected], "brian_z111" <brian_z...@...> wrote: > > > In their web views they use TSE:BMO but this returns an error via AQ. > > I did get data for RY, CM, TD, BNS using no prefixes or suffixes. > > AQ returned an error (wrong symbol or problem with data) for: > > BMO > TSE:BMO > > BMO does have historical data at their site? > > > > --- In [email protected], "treatmentinprogress" > <brian5545@> wrote: > > > > That's why I was asking this question, using .TO does not work. > > Here is the google message returned > > $NAME BMO.TO > > Symbol "BMO.TO" not found in historical price database > > > > I am now using CA:SYM > > All my TSE symbols are now prefixed with CA: whick is kind of > crappy. > > The alternative is to set up a Amiquoate translation table but that > > has to include every symbol, this table would change as the symbol > > list changes (to much maintenance). > > > > Any other ideas?
