Hi:

You could always use a source control system  - designed to solve exactly
the problem you have.

There are many to choose from but subversion <http://subversion.tigris.org/>.
combined with the gui tortoisesvn <http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/> is a good
mix.

Subversion and TortoiseSVN are not difficult to use and you will get a raft
of other features such as revisions, diffs etc.
