I have a Netgear PS101 connected to my router via Ethernet to a Laserjet 6P. Works great.
Originally with Vista 32, then upgraded to Win 7 32, and still works great. My son has a 6P connected with an adapter directly to the USB on the motherboard back panel, that too works great. Sorry did not answer your question, but maybe your print server is part of a router. Just use the PS101 and an Ethernet cable is you have an open port.
