After finding out what TerminalMode does and testing it by using it to connect
to a shell I have access on, I think it's good but could do with an
"enhancement" or two.

1) using the TerminalMode, when connected to my shell I typed "telnet
irc.server 6667" then closed the terminal window, which connected me to the
irc server through the shell, but every line sent out by AmIRC was echoed
back as a server notice line, a tad annoying seeing as the lag-o-meter
"hidden" messages appear every so often and everything you type is repeated.
Is there some way of stopping that from happening? something to do with the
control characters sent out/recieved when connecting to the shell I think
(don't quote me).

2) an ircii mode would be nice, ie you use a normal telnet program to log
into a shell, type "screen irc" which sets up ircii for you to log in with
AmIRC, so when you get to the shell with AmIRC you type "screen -r" which
returns you to ircii but with an AmIRC front end. Nice for two reasons, you
can use your fave irc client and you can be effectively connected to irc 24/7
by leaving ircii behind when you log out.

Is any of that viable?
