Hi guys,
I installed AmIRC 3 tonight, and tried out a few features. btw I reg'd it
too, at full price (I missed the upgrade page lol)
I note that when I press "Help", the docs for V2 appear, although the docs
for 3 are in the same drawer?
When I get the info window up, the text "spills" over from the nick column
into the main window. The text from the main window also spills over. IIRC
This was the same in V2?
I can make a small window appear with the channel name, which appears to
un/iconify the channel window. How do I get rid of it again - AFAICS it
serves no other purpose than to close the window or iconify?
I tried to use a single window for 2 channels, but I couldn't change the
secondary channel to be the main one. This meant that I kept getting the
name of the main channel before all the text - pretty boring really ;) Btw
how do you type to the different channels - put the channel name first?
Boring if the main channel is the secondary window, IYSWIM.
OTOH It's nice to be able to use more colours, both send & receive. it
helps when your sight is not so good ;)
Sound from mIRC users is now automatically downloaded, which didn't happen
with V2 (no, I've not changed THOSE settings).
But, thanks Olli for continuing to develop AmIRC. I have SO much fun with
it, I'm happy to reg twice ;))
