Hi all,

Having some problems with kickbans and AmIRC 3.3

I've got the following issue with the /kickban command......

Basically, it tries to do a mode change and seems to parse the first
characters of the hostmask as it's arguments, i.e, I banned a hostmask
called ~[EMAIL PROTECTED] and AmIRC first set channel modes to p & i, said
unknown modes for the r, c & h then carried on as normal....

I think it might be due to Undernet IRCD software, as on Dalnet, the
/kickban command tries to de-op someone (even if they're not Opped),
then does the kick....

However, it might be to do with Kuang 11, which I have running with AmIRC
3.3 This too, has problesm with kickban.....

The /KBan command within Kuang11 doesn't change any Channel modes, but it
doesn't parse the Hostmask properly for the ban, i.e if a /whois output
resulted in

Whois User: Yucca ([EMAIL PROTECTED]): Rob Hockley

then using Kuang's /KBAN command would do this:

Ban Yuccaman sets ban on *!*Yuccaman@*.btinternet.com.(rob.hockley)

which doesn't stop anyone from immediately rejoining....

Any ideas, help greatly appreciated.....

Cheers,

Rob
