Well, I don't know what the rest of your system is like -- I'm
running a GFX card and an '060, so AmIRC in itself was fine,
*BUT*....

I noticed that while AmIRC 3.4 was running, the CPU use monitor
never dipped below 35%! Right now I have 3.2 running with five
channels joined and I'm typing this via AmTelnet -- and the CPU
usage is *peaking* at perhaps 10-12%. (The ALoad monitor from the
Executive package and DirOpus's built-in title bar CPU monitor
seem to agree in large part on this.) And while I'm not typing
and the system is just sitting there -- it coasts at about 4%.

I've no idea *why* 3.4 is suddenly consuming so much more CPU
time, but given it has such an impact on a 50MHz '060 system, I
can see where it could be a serious problem on a system with an
'030.
