Using AmIRC on a computer on my LAN I find that my user name is fixed as
'root', and as a result brainless unix types have set bans on me. The
Username and IdentD gadgets are ghosted out in the Server Selection window.
When I use AmIRC directly on Internet gateway machine, I can change the user
name..
There must be something I've forgotten to install on the LAN client machine to
enable different user names/IdentD, can anyone help?
I'm using: MiamiDx (both gateway and client machine), AmIRC 3.4. Root is not
configured in Miami's user list.
