Does AmIRC 3.5 support resuming a download with DCC? If I'm
downloading a file from a file server and the download is
interrupted, when I try later to continue the download AmIRC
starts downloading the file from the beginning again instead
resuming the download from the point and appending the
remainder of the file onto the end of the interrupted download.
I tried using the /DCC resume [nick] [filename] but got an error
message stating the there were no pending files to be downloaded
from [nick]. I AmIRC does have the capacity to resume and append
a interrupted DCC get can anyone tell how to use it? The AmIRC
manual doesnt give examples of the commands, just their syntax.
:-( :-(
Also, since manyt of the files I'm downloading are from Windows
machines which allow longer filenames than Amigas do, will AmIRC
still be able to resume and append a DCC get even if the filenames
down match? Assuming it can do resume and append in the first place.
I've found that transferring files with names longer than the
AmigaDos limit breaks Zmodem resume support on Amigas and the
file gets retransmitted from the start again.
