When you are only able to SEE the topic the codes are hidden.
But, wenn you are OP, or the Channel has no Topicprotection, you see
the codes?
I think this is a feature, not a bug. :-)
So you can edit the code, to set the color topic.
showing the colorcodes only, when the topicstring is active would be
better IMO
