Gang, Checked the aux. coupling capacitors in my Johnson Thunderbolt yesterday. EVERY ONE OF THEM IS SHORTED. What is it with Sangamo cast mica capacitors, anyway? Every one I've come across (just the ones with the solder tabs) was shorted. All the other brands (Sprague, Aerovox, and one other) appear to have stood the test of time perfectly well.
So... Anyone got some 500 pF Centralab or HEC 850S doorknobs that they'd like to sell?
