I think the problem is the weight. I have a BC610 transformer, I don't want to sell it, but if I did, it's a bit crazy to ship something that heavy.
I don't want to even think about getting it out of the basement! Peter Dahl makes some nice stuff, and generally speaking, its smaller and lighter than the old stuff. I got a 6000 vct at 800 ma Peter Dahl transformer at a fest a few years ago ($100.00) and its half the size and weight the BC610 transformer.
