Very fine, Gary.

I was only talking in generalities, of course. Everyone has the right to air his/her opinions.

If you run another ad in the Collins Journal, please let me know as we did before. I am in the process of putting together the July/August issue. It will be one of the best.

David:
I am not offended. The fact is, I ship like this all over the world and
never a problem for the last 10 years. By the way, the transformer weighs
less than the 40 pounds. Two boxes, two layers of foam and bolted down. Pure
and simple, total neglect on FedEx's part.

Gary, did not mean to be offensive nor cynical.

Packing a heavy item in a cardboard box is risky unless you are using stiff
cardboard and not that insulation material. Just as an example, try
dropping a brick on a sheet of styrofoam and you will certainly leave a
dent. My son is a contractor and uses this stuff all the time as exterior
insulation material. He tells me that one would be better off using stiff
cardboard that is folded to a thickness of 1 inch or more.

Thanks

Yes, I call it packing. This was not the first time I had sent heavy iron
in
this fashion. All over the world, no damage.

You call that packing! No wonder it got damaged with all that inertia
inside the box. Shame on you for accusing the carrier.

It should have gone inside a wooden crate. Next time, if there is a next
time ...

Here's the link for the thread on AMfone with the transformer pics
posted. I know some of them make it look like a cereal box was used,
but it really was good, thick, double cardboard boxing. They just
totally destroyed it to the point it looks like paper. You can
actually see the double thickness in some places with the inside shot.
