There is a ham who makes a more robust version of the Johnson Attenuator
for $60. plus shipping.The Johnson will dissipate 30 to 35 watts.So I
would imagine $50. and up(Johnson collectors would pay up) for it. Just my
opinion.

Subject: [AMRadio] EF Johnson Attenuator
Does anyone on the list have any idea how much an EF Johnson Attenuator
box is worth. This is the device that is placed between the AM
transmitter and the liner to drop the RF power from the transmitter to a
value that a linear amp can use without overdriving the amp. Any help
with this will be appriciated as I can not seem to find any reference to
this unit anywahere. Maybe I am just looking in the wrong place??
