I routinely use the 3 kc mechanical filter in my 51J4 to listen
to AM and if someone is off-frequency by more than a few
hundred cycles I have to reach up and retune the receiver.
I think it a courteous thing to do to be on-frequency.  Surely
it isn't all that difficult.
