My friend Ron N4RT built one and had a nice chat with Art N4JK about 90 air miles away one afternoon recently. And I have one still in the kit form that I will soon built. It's a fun project for us here at the 65 dollar price and I will have fun with it just as I do with my Norcal 40A qrp cw 40 meter transceiver. I am quite sure some will put the Retro 75 retrofitted in a WWII, Korean, or VN comm handheld/backpack and have a ball at hamfest with a long whip antenna. It's a venture and I am thankful that the Small Wonder Labs came out with it......for our fund to build. Kudos I say to Dave Benson K1SWL. It's not like he had to do this for us, as in I don't think he's going to become a millionaire from this endeavor. As I am in my retirement years I laud those who provide us with constructive projects to complete.
