Thanks Nigel. I too use the Space-Track favourites. Both Nova and SatPC32 allow you to rename the satellites so they appear on your computer with their common names in whatever form you want.
What I wish, is that software writers would standardize on a way they identify satellites in their application databases. Some use the name and some use the international designator. Using the unique number seems to me to be the way to go. Enough of this Oscar 7, AO-07, AO-7, or 06236 stuff for importing KEPS into applications. Its 06236.
