Subject: [amsat-bb] IC-9100: ICOM version of the Kenwood TS2000X ?

As an extremely pleased owner/heavy user of a Kenwood TS2000X,
it is interesting to see that ICOM has (finally) also a kind
of similar radio now, the IC-9100:

Will be interesting to see if it also has a satellite mode,
but based on the number (910 + another 0 added) I assume
it will. Let's see how this compares to the many built-in
DSP features of the TS-2000X. The TS2000 was (one of) the
most feature rich radios when it was launched. ICOM now
has had the opportunity (8+ years later) to take advantage
of all the SDR developments and ICs that came available in
the past years.
