Mike, That parallels my own problem 2 years ago, including the temperature effect. It was the phase shift capacitor, which unfortunately is located inside the rotator. You can see it on the schematic. You can get them from Yaesu, or at least you could. Replacing it is tedious, but the hardest part is taking everything down to get at it. Some have reported you can "fix" it by installing the capacitor at the control box. I tried that, but it only helped a bit. It probably depends on the failure mode.
