W5IU does very well with the FT-1634. (Two FT-817s.) Standing room only at Dayton. Of course being set up in a parking lot may have something to do with that. ;)

Depending on who you talk with, you get slightly different versions of the same answer. The FT-847 went out of production due parts availability. Like many here, they equate satellite with P3 HEO, and feel that until that happens, there is no justification for the additional engineering work to bring out an updated version. I have been told there is a notional design for one. Others have gotten different versions. Will ask again.
