It's not officially recommended, but I've been using CAT-6 computer network cable for a short run (about 75 feet) and it seems to work fine on my Yaesu azimuth rotator. I've had it up for over a year and it still looks ok.
You should plan to use flexible wire where it has to rotate, flex and bend freely (as at the elevation rotor).
