Agreed. If a ham cannot find constructive, educational aspects of the ARISSat-1 
project to promote 
to all audiences, then they do not deserve their amateur radio licenses.

And while we're re-thinking our priorities - let's get ARISSat-1 paid for. 
There's a widget on 
AMSAT-NA's home page. You can painlessly drop them a few dollars using PayPal. 
If you are 
not a fan of PayPal - don't use that fact as a hurdle to donate. You can call 
the AMSAT-NA 
office and give your credit card info over the phone to a live person.
