Tony
I use SatPC32 on a Asus HA1005 series netbook (1.6 gHz,2 geg ram). I have no issues at all. This one has 3 USB ports. In fact that is my main portable PC device. As to a recommendation I use an HP at work for RF walk testing and do not like the quality. The Asus seems so much better. Good luck Dave __________________________________ Dave Donaldson HAM:WB7DRU Navy/MC MARS:NNN0AXK Burnsville, MN Sent from my android device. -----Original Message----- From: ANTHONY JAPHA <tjja...@earthlink.net> To: amsat-bb <amsat-bb@amsat.org> Sent: Thu, 11 Aug 2011 7:26 PM Subject: [amsat-bb] Netbooks? AMSATers, Congratulations on getting ARISS going. I hope we learn a great deal from it that will help in future missions. On another matter entirely, has anyone had success running Sat PC32 on a netbook? I operate only as a portable, and am looking for the lightest computer for the purpose. The computer can be very simple, but it must have 2 USB ports (I run 2 FT817s). Do netbooks generally have 2 USB ports? Any other suggestions would be most welcome.
