Harvey,

I intended to release an android app that would allow you to map ARISSat-1
and receive the telemetry for it. However, I never did put the finishing
touches on it and publish it <grin>. I did show it to a few AMSAT people
though and they seemed to like the idea. My implementation consisted of a
2D map view using the Google Maps API. There were options to control the
rendered tracks, including:
- minutes before / after to show
- number of tracks to show
- how often to update

I would like to turn this into a generic tracking app down the road. This
app would only provide a 2D map, to start out. Some features I wanted to
add include:
- ground footprint of satellite
- one-touch-predictions

Are you a developer? Would you be interested in helping out with it? If
you have not done mobile development before, maybe think twice :-) It's Not
Easy.

Let me know,
Joseph Armbruster
