although it *is* direction, I agree, it's an effective antenna. I've made one 
myself and it's working great! Kent's design is simple and from readily 
available and inexpensive material.

I guess I should read the whole thing. Missed the word "OMNI". Still it's a 
good antenna and a quick homebrew project. Maybe something your new Sat Group
