I actually use the sun for aligning the antennas. SatPC32 comes with a program called SuM, which can point the antennas directly at the sun (or moon!). To align the antennas, I look at the shadow of the antennas on the ground, and adjust until the shadow is minimum size. It's really easy, (and you don't need to look at the sun to do this type of alignment).
