What I use,

One layer of Scotch 88 over the connectors (to be able to remove the sticky
tape for maintenance or antenna change), then one layer of the sticky tape
(self sealing mastic tape) found in Andrew's Hardline connector kit, and
multiple layers over the sticky tape then, carefully cut the Scotch 88 and
gently lay it around the seal. If you pull the electrical tape to cut it,
then it will unravel later.

Works well at 4000ft repeater sites as well as home.
