On the IC-W32A's... I read several places that the early ones with 5 digit 
serial numbers are okay, but that is not necessarily true from my experience. I 
bought two of them with five digit numbers over 11000 and still had the desense 
problems. The determining factor, as best I can tell, is if it receives in the 
300 Mhz and 800 Mhz bands then it's possible it doesn't have the desense 
problem.
