Which proves that engineers and scientists just may not be the best folks to WRITE such announcements. Wich brings us back to the crux of the matter: To what target audience should such a press release / media alert / announcement be written? -If for engineers and "insiders," then maybe leave it alone. Although I certainly hope that the engineers here are more literate than illiterate. -For the mainstream masses? Then few new to AMSAT-NA would be encouraged nor compelled to try to find out more information - and to contribute in any manner.
