I also signed up and have bought a few things but it is my understanding only 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products goes to AMSAT. So if you buy a DVD worth $19.99 and it's eligible for AmazonSmile, roughly $0.10 of that $19.99 will go to AMSAT but I think Amazon waits until something like $100 is collected before sending any money to AMSAT.
