it's tcl/tk, so there is no "ressources to free"... tcl/tk takes care of
everything.. but yeah, I've heard alot about this bug.. and it seems it
always happen on particular case...
I think the bug is in tcl/tk's core.. a bug that was never fixed (so don't
try latest tcl/tk version or recompile yours.. because it's not fixed!)..
I think it has problems handling multiple tabs (a frame existing in a
window but not displayed.. or a pack forget/pack on top of the other
pack...)..
Jerome might be able to help because he knows about these problems (tabs
weren't at all handled in Mac, so the tcl/tk team had to make it work...
but it seems it was never complete, even on windows/linux)...
debuguing might be the best solution.. at least to be able to see where it
comes from and what makes it happen... problem is : I never got that bug,
not on windows, not on linux...
Arieh, if you have a "safe" method that will make it crash this way 100%
sure every time.. then tell me, I might have a look...

Probably you are
using a buggy TK version, or you have incompatible libraries
