Hi,
First of all, congratulation for your work on the FAQ it must has kept
you busy for a certain time ;)
I'm currently reading the FAQ carefully and inserting some div tags in
order to format it more easily.
These are the different comments I want to share with you, I write them
as long as I read the faq so they may be confusing sometimes or there
can be doubles :
- each time you write to type the commands as root, but your first
command is always "su -". I don't think it is necessary because they
already know they have to be root and now it is more common to use the
commands sudo, fakeroot, ... to prevent security problems.
- I wonder if there is not too much information for the installation,
especially the one about Debian with the alien command. I think it is
enough to describe the installation with the common package manager
- Perhaps it would be easier for the user to create one question for
the installation by distribution/operating system
- is-it normal that in the Debian description you write each time "su"
instead of "su -" for the others distributions ?
- replaced "follow the instructions below" by "take a look at the
following questions" in the entry about the traydock
- I propose to modify the question "./configure all works OK and says
everything is there. the I type make, and I get:

- I removed "personal" informations from certain questions (ip
address, ...)
- I added the methods to install g++ under Fedora and Gentoo
- I think we can truncate the output for the bug about invalid colors

- I removed the several "for a friend","one of my friends", ...
- Summarized the question "I installed FC4 on an AMD 64Bits 3000+.
After that, i downloaded the FC .rpm Amsn
(amsn_0.94-1.1.fc3.rf_i386.rpm) to install it on the pc, it worked.
Now, when i ran AMSN for the first time, it asked me to download the TLS
things, i choose "x86 Linux", it download it and tell me it's OK i try
to connect to my account, and Bimmm, same window again, ask me to
download the TLS things, etc...
It seems it can't compile it because, i think, i'm on 64Bits processor.
How to solve that ? " to "I have an processor AMD64 and aMSN propose me
to download TLS each time I launch it. Downloading and installing the
file do not resolve the problem"
- I propose to remove the entry "Q: I get an error when running
./configure; make, what should I do ?" which is too vague and do not
have any anwser
- remove the topic about linphone which is twice
- should we remove the question about "can I see if someone has
blocked me" as the bug that permited to know that has been fixed ?
- remove the make of the webcam and replaced by XXX webcam to have a
more generic question
- split the question about quality of the webcam and ppc support in
two different entries
- truncate the debug messages to only usefull informations (hide the
procedures calls)
- modification of the question "I am using a tv card for my webcam
and i cant select the channel in the amsn webcam settings I was
wondering if anyone has a similar setup and if there is a solution I
have tried searching the net for info but theres not much on it" to "How
can I switch the channel when using my tv card as webcam ?"
- specify that the topic to create an icon on the desktop is for Linux.
- move the issue about modifying the display picture to the category
"using amsn" and the one about "blocked contacts"
- the thing about blocked contact is specified later ... remove one
of those ?
- generalization of questions and answers (remove friends, I, you,
my, ...)
- change the question "I've installed aMSN and the TLS module (both
installed correctly). However, this is not working because I can't set
the path to the module under "preferences".
I'm using SuSE Linux 9.3 Pro 64-bit version. I've tried different paths
and none of them seems to work. I now that the file (tls) is located in
the folder 'lib', so the path I used was "/lib/tls" but it is not
working. Everytime I tried to login, aMSN wants to download this TLS
file, and I know it's installed, only the path to the file is incorrect.
Can you help me, please?" to "aMSN and the TLS module are installed on
my Suse Linux distribution but when I launch aMSN it always ask to
download the TLS module"
... I prefer to stop there for tonight !

do not consider it as a example to follow or whatever, it is just a
proposition to structure the FAQ. As I'm not graphist at all it's not
really nice ... but it gives an idea and can facilitate Lee work as he
will just has to redefine the style according to what he wants to do !
