Greetings,

First of all, let me say that this client looks great and the chat works
very well on my x86 Debian Sarge Linux desktop system.

I have plugged in a USB Webcam (Logitech QuickCam Express)
and loaded the "pwc" driver in /etc/modules

Dmesg reports:

pwc Philips webcam module version 9.0.1 loaded.
pwc Supports Philips PCA645/646, PCVC675/680/690, PCVC720[40]/730/740/750 &
PCVC830/840.
pwc Also supports the Askey VC010, various Logitech Quickcams, Samsung MPC-C10
and MPC-C30,
pwc the Creative WebCam 5 & Pro Ex, SOTEC Afina Eye and Visionite VCS-UC300 and
VCS-UM100.
usbcore: registered new driver Philips webcam

When I click on the Amsn menu "Tools" , "Preferences", "others", "Configure Webcam" I get:

Type: Direct Connect
Listening: True
Your Ports are well configured
Webcamsn extension is loaded
Capture Extension -capture- is loaded

But at the console window where I started AMSN, I see the following errors:

dlsym[./utils/linux/capture/libng/plugins/drv0-v4l2.so]: ./utils/linux/capture/libng/plugins/drv0-v4l2.so: undefined symbol: _ng_plugin_init dlsym[./utils/linux/capture/libng/plugins/drv1-v4l.so]: ./utils/linux/capture/libng/plugins/drv1-v4l.so: undefined symbol: _ng_plugin_init
WARNING: no plugins found [/home/lotte/johnny/amsn/amsn-0.95]

Who is "lotte/johnny" and why is he hard coded in my box ? :)

Also, I cant get webcam to work, I click on "change video settings" and i see
the error: "Currently no devices are installed"

How can I get an image from my webcam?

There are no test.tcl scripts anywhere and no mention
of how to test the camera.

Any suggestions what to try next?

Im not on the list, so please CC me if possible.

Thanks,

Matt
