Same here (output below). The dragndrop.png file is not correctly
compressed. I had the same yesterday and eventually replaced it with
another png. :D
Also: I agree with Karel that tkdnd should be included in amsn, so other
plugins can use it. It's not the only reason though: this way we avoid
shipping a plugin with binaries, or a compileme plugin, or a plugin with
binaries for win/mac and compileme for linux.
I don't think so, we should minimize the number of compile things with
amsn,
mainly if we don't use it in core. What if some other plugin will need
another package? Are we going to include that with aMSN too?
why minimize compile? yes, we won't make them compile mplayer with amsn
because they 'might' need it for a plugin.. but as long as it's a core
feature, if it has to be compiled, then do it!
What we could do is add an option "requirements" option to plugin. aMSN
will
check if the specific package is needed and if not, it will popup an
error
message "You need $package to run this plugin. See $url for install
instrution." And package and url is replaced by the "requirements"
option in
the plugin.
no, many plugins require some things (desktop integration for example) and
they do it their way.. they do a msg_box.. and return 0 from the init
proc..
Another option is to create an "tcltk-extras" package that would be
shipped
outside of the core containing all the extra packages.
But whatever you decide, it definitly shouldn't be included with the
plugin.
not needed..
About autoupdate: MeV, look at how other extensions have done it, it's
really simple! :) If you're still having trouble, I'll do it, or better
someone who has more experience on autoupdate :D
Cannot test now if it works on my system, due to purely technical
reasons
(5:30pm and still no lunch!)
Greetings, and Congratulations and Thank You again MeV!
