If I remember correctly, all you need to do is the protocol part, then call 
farsight giving it your + the other 
user's XML file, and there it goes, it does everything for you, the grabbing, 
the receiving, the connection, the 
reflector, etc.. all you need is the XML files.. 
I don't know about the api, you should check their wiki... 
when he says plugin he means farsight's plugin, the one implementing the MSN 
webcam support, the code is there, it 
only uses an API that is obsolete, since the API changed during development, 
the plugin should be made compatible by 
using the new API calls..
