Hi, it's been a long time since we wanted to implement emoticons packs, so
you can save/transfer/load all your custom smileys from one
profile/computer to another...
and we really should do it sometime... but I wanted to show you this...
As I participated in the msn live sweepstakes, look at what I received :
http://www.imagine-msn.com/minisites/sweepstakes/mail/
looking at the source, I get this direct link that is used to download the
theme and there's a javascript there (I guess) to automatically load them
into MSN.

Humm.. this reminds me I also got a 'digital reward' for beta testing the
windows live mail.. 4 packs of emoticons + display picture + background
image + dynamic display pictures...
for those using windows, you can get them from here :
http://www.us.mypersonalexpression.com/msnpromo.pd?source=mpeus465

Once the javacript/BHO/activeX installs them in your MSN, you can probably
get them from C:\Documents and setttings\your_username\Application
Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger\some_number\*\*.dat

to find which dat file it is and to find which number your account is
associated to.. look at the last modified date of the files/directory :p

Once I get home, I can send the ones I have, for those who can't use
windows...
btw, the DDP are a .cab file, which has a png, a content.xml file and a
.swf file.. the swf is unplayable, I was unable to get anything from it,
until I 'deflashed it' (deassemble flash files), there, I found some
sprite that plays the animation... but it seems other players (browser,
zoom player, etc..) just gave me a blank, blue image... )
Ohhh, and btw!!!, the xml file contains on which emoticons (key sequences)
the DDP should animate ... and finally.. in amsn I was able to receive the
DDP!!! don't ask me how it went, but anyways, amsn downloaded the DP
without problems, but I only received the .png file that was inside the
.cab file, not the cab/swf file.. so maybe the client sends the png to
clients that don't have the bit for support of DDP... so the DDP acts as a
static DP...
more info when I get home.
