Well what is meant here is if your distro supplies amsn, so i guess
ubuntu doesn't?
ubuntu does supply amsn,
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ apt-cache search amsn
amsn - An MSN messenger written in tcl
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ apt-cache showpkg amsn
Package: amsn
Versions:
0.95-1(/var/lib/apt/lists/gb.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_dapper_universe_binary-i386_Packages)
Reverse Depends:
Dependencies:

Provides:
0.95-1 -
It is in the universe, so it is not available by default, or officially supported, but it is there in their repositories. I do wonder, though how many ubuntu users know about "nano /etc/apt/sources.list" to add the universe repos.
So the answer is, yes, ubuntu supplies amsn, but not with it's default repos.
