The third indeed. For the "looking toomuch to the inside issue": I talked
with ubitux about it and if we want it to be changed he would do it without
problems. Though, he likes it the way it is now. In other words: I have to
convince you to make you find the eyes a bit too much looking to the
inside: if you all find it, he will change it. But I lack the "convincing
courage", so I don't care anymore :).

haha yeah...For choice 1 (poor Ubitux!!! he did an excellent art job!!,
so noooooo!) and choice 2 (hey hey!! i said many times about suggestion!!!
and as you see I've adjusted the skin to fit many tastes and now is almost
ended!!.. well a coup of things left :P) are not available :P

The 3rd is possible :P

Cheers.

ok, thanks, although I think :s is 'squint eyed' and :) is not :p
Anyways, what do you suggest ?
1 - redo the smiley set to fit the skin
2 - redo the skin to fit the smiley set
3 - redo the 'smiley button' in the buttonbar

(of course 1 and 2 are j/k :p)

If we plan to make the smiley-sets changeable without changing the skin it
might seem dull to want the same style in teh set as in the skin, though for
the default set and skin I'd like the same style to be used - so the smiley
to be reused in the button. Now the set looks a bit alien in the default
skin IMO. Don't get me wrong, I like te new smileys a lot; I want them to
come out very well.

yes, you ARE late in saying this, ubitux worked a long time on these and
posted them progressively and you had
time to give the comments... Then once finished, we had all the time to
give him comments on all of them before
he finalized them.
If you mean "the whole style is wrong", then sorry, I don't think you are
going anywhere with this. everyone
LOVES the smiley set, I'm totally in love with it, my friends who use amsn
think it's really great! so.. there's
noway we change to something else now (and ubitux won't have time to redo
them).
If you're saying that smiley X and smiley Y has this or that defect, then
I think it's ok, because we still got
time to fix that.
About this "squint-eyed" thing, I have no idea what it means, so I
wikipedia-ed it :
http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/squint
so, it has 3 meanings :
1 - To look with the eyes partly closed, as in bright sunlight
2 - To look or glance sideways
3 - To look with, or have eyes that are turned in different directions; to
suffer from strabismus
humm.. which one did you mean ? and which smileys are affected by this ? I
looked at :) and :D they look ok,
they don't look like they are partly closed, they don't glance sideway,
and they don't look in different
directions (they do seem like they look a liiiitle bit to the inside, but
it's not as much as for the :s smiley,
which you say is ok)... so I'm completely lost!
Can you give us the list of which ones you don't like, for what reasons,
and how it should be fixed, that would
help ubitux a lot, I'm sure.
Finally, about the buttons in the skin, you're right, they are different

 >from the skin, but I don't think it

causes any problem, anyways, we were going to separate the smiley set from
the skin, right ? so it doesn't make
any difference. We *could* put a smiley from the set into the smileys and
winks buttons of the buttonbar, but I
don't think it would make much of a difference.

p.s.: I just found what I think is a bug. when we click on the smileys
button, it shows the smileys menu, but
with an offset from our mouse cursor (to make sure the mouse is inside the
smiley menu so when we move the mouse
outside it disappears.
But for some reason, it seems to always show it at the same place now,
it's with an offset but not from the
mouse cursor but it's from the center of the button it seems.. just try
it, whether you click on the top or on
the bottom of the smileys button, the menu appears at the same
coordinates...

 Hi,

firstly: I lilke the style of the nw smiley set, don't get me wrong; but

 I

 have ome comments.
Most of the smileys are looking "squint-eyed" (I searched for this
translation, I hope it's OK); this ain't looking allright. It's ok for

 the

:s smiley and some others but not for normal smileys like :) or

 :D. Even

the cat has this look in her eyes.
Secondly; the smiley set and the skin don't blend. The button in the
chatwindow for the smiley selector shows a smiley from another set...

I know I'm late to say this but I don't have a lot of time and just

 wanted

 to say t now quickly.

Have a good day,

Karel.
