Good work trying the comparisons.
Ican I assume that you are comparing apples with apples? On the main page, there is one page, and multiple ads. If all the pages you are counting are structured with the same number of ads, then they should be in proportion to each other -
I did take that into account. I was comparing the top ad 'impressions' vs "pageviews" 1/1.
unless caching is getting in the way...
Shouldn't be. I just set that up a week ago and get the same numbers.
Personally, I would trust analog to give the right numbers. The question is "What are you counting?" - Ads, or pages?
I'm trying to do both. The number of impressions for one type of ad (top banner ad) should roughly equal the pages served/viewed. However; this doesn't appear to be the case. So, which is correct? I'm pulling for analog and webalizer obviously since they're counting much higher.
The tight spot I'm in is that currently googleads and doubleclick agree with each other, while analog and googleads don't and back each other up.
Still looking for some more insight.....

I've been running webalizer, while running ads through doubleclick. The number of 'pageviews' vs 'ads served' has never seen eye to eye at all.
Out of the box webalizer will show ~500,000 'pageviews' and doubleclick much much lower.
Trying to find the descrepency I ran GoogleAds for a couple of days and their 'ads servered' agreed with doubleclick.
That's fine, I thought that obviously webalizer was counting what it perhaps shouldn't be for my purposes and a friend had told me he runs analog.
This afternoon I set it up for one site, ran it out-of-thebox and it's numbers agreed with doubleclick and googleads. Then poking around in analog.cfg I added "PAGEINCLUDE *.phtml" (Which is what http://OSDir.com pages are formatted as) then re-ran analog. This agrees with webalizer's stats. Not exact, but close enough. to make me highly suspect of doubleclick and googleads.
Can anyone shed some light on this situation??
