Analoggers,

When people come in to value the company I work for, one of the things they are
looking for is the amount of registered users our sites have, and the
proportion of registered users to visitors. I have explained that log file
analysis to this end this is not an accurate measure of that proportion by any
means, but somehow we still have to know how much and in what way people are
using our sites.

Is there a way to get analog to add up the total number of users in the user
report, so that finding out registered user hits / total page requests can
become a little easier? Or is there another way of doing this? (I see the
future... I see grep...)

Incidentally, I don't know if anyone else on this list has recieved the letter
from the wadsack-allen on the subject of the introduction of PNGs in report
magic, to replace GIFs in the near future. Does anyone have any thoughts on
this? I'm all in favour of supporting new and better standards, but we do have
the odd exec from some of our client sites using dusty old AOL browsers, or
other terrible things, but still demanding pretty graphs to view their stats
with. So I would go with having the option of using gifs, for those without the
word "download" in their dictionary.

Cheers,

Ale
