Subject: Help with LogFormat

Hi all, me again,

All works well with the other questions, I thank you for that.  I have another issue now..

I am working off a Intel box running Solaris 2.51 and I get the following message when I attempt to process the logs:

Doing /www/logs.11-1999/access_log
../analog/analog: Warning R: Turning off empty Search Word Report
(For help on all errors and warnings, see docs/errors.html)
../analog/analog: Warning R: Turning off empty Browser Summary
Doing /www/logs.11-1999/error_log
../analog/analog: Warning F: Can't auto-detect format of logfile
  /www/logs.11-1999/error_log: ignoring it
(For help on all errors and warnings, see docs/errors.html)
../analog/analog: Warning R: Turning off empty time reports
../analog/analog: Warning R: Turning off empty Request Report
../analog/analog: Warning R: Turning off empty Directory Report
../analog/analog: Warning R: Turning off empty Organisation Report
../analog/analog: Warning R: Turning off empty Search Word Report
../analog/analog: Warning R: Turning off empty Browser Summary
../analog/analog: Warning R: Turning off empty File Size Report
Doing /www/logs.11-1999/customer_log
../analog/analog: Warning M: Logfile /www/logs.11-1999/customer_log contains
lines with no bytes: byte counts may be low
(For help on all errors and warnings, see docs/errors.html)

Originally I used LOGFORMAT COMMON and then LOGFORMAT COMBINED and both produced the same output as listed above.

I even went so far as to use a logformat specified in the documentation for Analog that I compared with the contents of one of my log files,
LOGFORMAT (%S - %u [%d/%M/%Y:%h:%n:%j %j] "%j %r %j" %c %b), and it still gave me the same output again as listed above.

Below is a sample of the content from a logfile:

208.244.236.180 - - [01/Nov/1999:00:00:51 -0800] "HEAD /h-wave HTTP/1.1" 301 0
205.188.197.22 - - [01/Nov/1999:00:01:23 -0800] "GET /cgi-bin/counter?cntAAAa005lw HTTP/1.0" 200 618
161.142.78.81 - - [01/Nov/1999:00:02:27 -0800] "GET / HTTP/1.0" 200 838
161.142.78.81 - - [01/Nov/1999:00:02:30 -0800] "GET /byehome2.jpg HTTP/1.0" 200 59021

Any suggestions that you all have, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks again,

Erik
