i have analog working on a limited basis on my redhat 7.1 server, and need
to set up some log file rotation stuff before i put it into production.

from my quick scan of the documentation and the FAQ, it doesn't appear
that this is integral to analog (which makes sense), but i figure that most
everyone using analog has already written such scripts. i have a server
running apache which has 20 or so virtual domains, each of which should
have its stats compiled independently. i'm looking to build a cron driven
setup which will take care of rotating log files and generating reports on
a regular basis; i don't have any set ideas about the exact way this is to
be done, but just want to find out how others have done this.

i have already worked out how to run analog with differing configuration
files so that i can read the logs i want and put the output files in the
directories i want. i'm just not quite sure how to tackle the rotation
part.

thanks in advance for any suggestions,
  richard
